The Silver Salver is presented annually to a person or group, who by their outstanding services to the people of our Parish are credited with this recognition.
We are sure you will agree that the last few months have been difficult for everyone. This year the Parish Council have decided to split this year’s award between our local shops and say thank you to each of them for their efforts. They have, throughout the Covid-19 pandemic continued to put themselves at risk to ensure that others have their essentials and because of that they were each presented with a replica Salver.
A true community is not just about being geographically close to people or part of the same social circle. It’s about feeling connected and responsible for what happens. And it is fair to say, everyone awarded with the Silver Salver, has, in some way, ensured people are still connected.
Very well deserved! Well done!
